Damn. Mit “Monky Busniess” haben The Jazz Jousters den zehnten und leider auch den letzten Teil ihrer “Lab Sessions“-Reihe veröffentlicht. Das finale Projekt widmet sich Jazz-Pianist Thelonious Monk und dessen Song “You Are Too Beautiful”. Produziert haben Bones The Beat Head, DRTYDRDZ, Mr.Moods, Gadget, Es-k, Beatzspeakz Loud, Blue Buttonz und B 3 N B iNow.

“That’s right, since starting on June 15th which was the beginning of this beautiful journey with the Jazz Jousters we now find ourselves at part ten. This brings us to the end of Millennium Jazz’s “fortnightly” releases with a little gem entitled ‘Monky Business – Thelonious Monk reinterpreted by The Jazz Jousters’ , as the collective worked with Monk’s version of ‘You Are Too Beautiful’ which he recorded in 1956 alongside Oscar Pettiford & Art Blakey.”

Doch jetzt die gute Nachricht: Für den 28.Oktober haben The Jazz Jousters bereits den Release der zweiten “Season” angekündigt. Das Projekt geht also weiter. Großartig!
